The Heart of the city tour held true to its name. The Jay-z and Mary put on a well organized and choreographed show. The stage and the use of props was elegant. Although it is my opinion that Mary outperformed jay, jay was still classic. Mary exhibited energy that was reminiscent of her younger years, and kept me captivated throughout with great audience interaction and inclusion. At some points jay seemed to lose me, but that is probably because I have seen him quite a few times and the rhetoric is always similar. I understand that Jay is trying to resurrect Memphis Bleeks career but maybe he should write his albums instead of having him as a sidekick and all his shows. Bleek is great but he must evolve on his own. You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink. I rate these artist a must see in future events. |
